Runtime Error in Outlook

When I open Outlook in XP the following message comes up:

Microsoft Visual C+ - Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:C\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE

It downloads the messages.

When I click OK,the program closes. When I open Outlook
up again, the message is gone, and eveything is fine.

Please advise how I can fix this.
