runtime error problem

I have a Dell desktop XP Home with the packaged Works
2002 Suite.My Word always seemed to work fine before, but
now when I try to make a document I get a runtime error
and "abnormal program termination" message.
PROGRAMC:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT OFFICE\OFFICE 10
\WINWORD.EXEThen I can't do anything til I click OK, then
it closes Word and I lose everything I did.
