Runtime error - Update query fails on memo field

Runtime error 3188 "Couldn't update; currently locked by another session on
this machine"

Only fails on a memo field - others are OK.

Occurs intermittently. I think the memo field itself causes problem .
Anybody have similar problem and a solution ?

I have a similar problem, but alas, no solution.

In my case, I only get the error if I edit an existing record's memo field.
And then, only if a large amount of text is in the memo field. In general,
if enough text exists such that the vertical scroll bar appears, then I know
that when I attempt to save the record, I will get the error message. If the
edited memo field has a small amount of text, I do NOT get the error.

When I first create the record, I do NOT get the error no matter how much
text is in the memo field. Again, the problem only arises during the editing
of an existing record. Bizarre!

If you discover a solution, please let me know. I will do the same for you.
