Runtime Error!

I've recently scrubbed my entire system and reinstalled
evrything, including Microsoft Works Suite 2002 which
includes Microsoft Word. I've even done the service pack
II for my XP Home version. Things are all working fine
except for Microsoft Word. While tying a document, I
recieve the following message every time:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
ProgramC:\Program Files\MicrosoftOffice\Office10
\winword.exe
Abnormal Program Termination

Anyone know why this message keeps appearing & how I
should go about with a repair? I cannot use Word--I'm
halfway through typing a document when I get the error
message & you can only X out of the window. At that
point, I lose all of my typed document with no save or
recovery options. Very frustrating!

Start by uninstalling the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word, which
causes many problems with Word run freestanding (not started from the Works
Task Launcher). If that doesn't solve the problem, post back to get the full
"runtime error" boilerplate from Beth Melton.
