Runtime Error

My Word 2000 and Excel 2000 are coming up with a runtime error. The error is
"This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way" At the top of the error window it says "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Library". We have tried to uninstall and reinstall multiple times. We have
gone through some help suggestions checking default printer, we ran it in /a
mode and it worked. I recently installed Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional. Is
it possible that this could be the problem? Outlook and Powerpoint work
fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: We uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional and that solved the Runtime Error. New problem is that I NEED Acrobat 7. Is there a work around that anyone knows about?

Adobe! I suggest you check on the Adobe site to see if there is an updated
set of Office Add-ins. If not, you can reinstall Acrobat without the Add-ins
and still use it as a printer driver. However, some of the functionality is
lost.
