Runtime Licensing question

I have an Access 2000 database which i would like to sell to customers
who do not have the full Access Package.
I believe they would then need Access 2000 Runtime
As this is not free,can someone give me some help as to what package
Access Runtime comes with, where i can buy it and roughly how much it
costs.
If i bought the package would i be able to give away the Runtime
module with my DB as many times as i like?
I do not want to go to Access XP or 2003.

Office 2000 Developer Edition (or Office 2000 Premium Edition). You might
have some difficulty finding them now, though. Can't help with sources and
prices, Microsoft no longer sell it, you'll need to check on-line auctions
and sources that specialise in out-of-date software. Price will depend on
supply and demand.

Yes, once you have it, it includes a royalty-free licence to redistribute
the runtime components with your application.

I know you say you don't want to go with Access 2002 (XP) or Access 2003,
but if you find the Office 2000 Developer Edition hard to find, but come
across the XP version, you may wish to reconsider that - Access 2002 was, in
my experience, a significant improvement over Access 2000. The only
disadvantage I can think of off-hand is that it requires Windows 98 or
later, and there are still some Windows 95 PCs out there - but hopefully not
very many, and not for much longer now!

I have Office 2000 Premium but can't find a runtime program. What should I
be looking for?

You may not have installed the developer tools - they are on a separate CD
labelled 'Microsoft Office 2000 Developer'. Once they're installed, open the
VBA editor, choose 'Add-in Manager' from the 'Add-Ins' menu, and you'll see
'Package and Deployment Wizard', among others, listed in the available
add-ins. Check the 'Loaded/Unloaded' check box, then go back to the
'Add-Ins' menu to start the wizard.

I have 4 CDs in my Office 2000 Premium set but none is labelled "Developer".
Perhaps it was not bundled with this version?

I'm about 99.9% certain that Premium included Developer. But it has been a
while, so I guess it's just possible that I may be remembering incorrectly,
and that it was Developer that included Premium - anyone else remember?

Developer included Premium, not vice versa.
