S/T Ed...Getting one of the licenses back from a dead computer

M

Mark_S

I've seen a couple of posts that are similar to mine, but I wanted to throw
the question out there to make sure I understand.

I had a computer that is dead due to mother nature having a hissy fit. The
hard drive is okay and on it I had one of my (three?) licenses that came with
my Student Teacher Edition Office Suite. I have one other licence on my MIL's
computer and one free one on the disk. If I load the free or remaining
one...how do I get my other licence back?

Any help is great! Thanks.

You just load it. That's all. There's no "getting it back".

I think you misunderstood. JoAnne was saying you don't need to get it
back you can just load it. As long as you only have three licenses in
use you're OK.
Might take as call to MS to activate but you still have three licenses.

The End User License Agreement for Office 2003 Students and Teachers
Edition says, "You may install a copy of the Software on three personal
computers or other devices in your household for non-commercial use by
people who reside in your household." If your MIL does not reside in
your household, then you are not in compliance with the EULA.
