Safari and Entourage

Hal

I'm running MacOS 10.4.7. If Entourage 2004 v11.2.5 is set as my default
email program and I attempt to use the "Mail Link to This Page" command in
Safari, I sometimes get an error message that "Safari couldn't create an
email message to send the link because Microsoft Entourage did not open."
Again, I don't get this message every time, but it happened every time I
tried to create the link for
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/21/technology/21pogue.html?ref=technology&8ci
r&emc=cir. I tried it with Entourage closed, open, and with a new empty
message on the screen with no luck.

When I changed my default email program to Apple Mail 2.1, I had no problem
getting the link inserted in Mail 2.1.

What's the explanation for this behavior?

I don't have an answer to the problem, but there is an alternative way to
insert a URL into an Entourage message.

Get "insert URLs into Safari"

<http://files.macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/Safari/Insert_Safari_URLs.sit>

Assign a shortcut to the script for easy insertion of URL into the open
Entourage message.

To add a shortcut to a script see:
