I have a machine named running Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000
Analysis Services (SP3). I have a cube on this machine that I would like to
access from Office 11 Web Components. I'm using FrontPage 2003 to create a
web page where I insert a PivotTable component and setup a datasource to the
cube on my local machine. The problem is that the web component shows the
following error message: "Safety settings on this machine prohibit accessing
a datasource on another domain". When I ran this in Office XP, I didn't get
this problem at design time and when I ran the web page, I would get
prompted if I allowed the access.
My attempts to fix the problem:
1) Added http://machine_name to my Trusted Sites. Same behaviour.
2) Changed the security setting "Access data sources across domains" for the
Local intranet zone to Enable.
Neither of theese actions solved my problem.
Any other ideas on how to fix this problem?
