I have an account which I'd like to use on my work computer and my home. I
have transferred the groove file over, it synched when I was in the office
(laptop to work), and then I left the office computer running (so that the
other members of the workspace would always have an online computer with
which to synch). Now that I'm home, however, I go to my home groove account,
and while the home and work are definitely still synching up, the work is the
one that "owns" the sharepoint synchronization capability (this is a
sharepoint tool). How does Groove determine which of the open versions of
the same account to allow to synchronize? I knew that only one member of a
space can be the point of synchronization at a time, but I didn't think
through the implication of having the same account open on multiple computers
at once. What protocol is followed, so that I may get it to always allow the
computer that is NOT the work computer (I need to be able to synch to
sharepoint while on road, so we're backed up, and work computer is the one I
use least...but needs to be the one that is always on).
Hope that makes sense. Thx for any guidance on this.
