I am using Access 2000
I have two different databases; One for material
disposition (DB-1) and another one for Vendor returns (DB-
2).
In the DB-1, there is a field [MDO]which is an automatic
number & primary key for the material disposition report
number such as 123456, 123467, 123478 etc.
DB-2 also has the [MDO] field, but this is a number field
with 6 characters allowed.
When we return material to the vendor, another person
pulls up DB-2 to compete his information. We want the
[MDO] from DB-1 to appear on the DB-2 form. I tried
linking the two DBases in a query but all I get is a
message of "mis-matched field". Any ideas of how I can do
this? If there a way to copy the information from DB-1 to
DB-2 form?
I am open for any help I can get.
