Same message appearing in my INBOX several times

I have three accounts set up for three different businesses that I email
from. As I receive a great deal of SPAM and unsolicited emails, I have set-up
severals rules to check and move emails to various folders dependent upon the
rule. However, now the same genuine email appears in my Folder three times.
How do I avoid this?
