same question problem is still facing

Hi,

when the project manager wants to save or publish new project . the project
professional display a dialog box that .

" You dont have sufficient permission to perform requested action . Please
contact your server administrator"


although I gave all rights to this manager .
and his project professional is working fine before few days .
but now it is creating this problem.
although it is saving and publishing a project . but when we need to save
again and want to close the project . then the project professional is
displaying this message .
till i made administrator to this manager but still it is displaying this
dialog box.

pls tell me what is the problem

That sounds like your project manager has the "new project" global
permission which would allow for a new project to be saved for the first time
to the project server.

Please ensure that the project manager also has the "save project" category
permission for the appropriate group / cateogry association

For example - if you have a "my projects" category and a Project Managers
group (which your project manager would be a member of)

You would want to see "Save Project" with the allow box ticked in the
category permissions

You can see this by opening the "My Project" category and selecting the
"Project Managers" group in the selected users box

or by looking in the "Project Managers" group and selecting the "My
Projects" in the selected categories box

Either way the Save Project permission must be enabled for the Project
Manager to make subsequent saves after the initial save.
