same tasks in different places with one update

IT software application tasks appear in IT department, however, same
information is required to display in other departments. And I don't want to
update same information in 2 different places.
Is there anyway to link multiple tasks status?

Hello soe soe,

No sorry, and I wouldn't advise it.

If I understand you correctly you have the need to have the exact
same task appear several times so multiple departments can see it?
It sounds as though you may have organized your task list by who is
doing the task rather than the logical relationship between the
tasks. If so, I suggest a different approach. You can use the
Group field in the resource sheet to signify which department an
assigned resource is from. You can then filter or group by the
group field to show what department is responsible for tasks. Using
that method removes the need to duplicate the same task several
times and should make your schedule easier to understand and work
with.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
