Sample database in distributed environment?

Hello-

I would like to install the sample database in a distributed
environment. The install instructions indicate that you need a
single-server implementation in order to use the sample data, and when
I launch "restore and configure sample data" from Project Server 2003,
it fails because there is no local SQL server. In our environment, SQL
Server is housed on a separate entity from the server housing Project
Server. Is it possible to use the sample database in a distributed
environment? If so how would I make this happen?

Hi Melissa,

you can't use the sample db restore utility in a distributed enviroment like
the one you are using. You will have to create a new site on the project
server with EditSite, and then manually restore the db to the sql server.
