SAP reporting link

Currently all employees submit timesheets which record progress on all
projects in SAP. The timesheet reporting is submitted external to Project
server. Is there a method to extract this data from the SAP database into
Project Server for reporting and data analysis as well as updating task
progress on projects directly?

To be more specific, I am looking to link task updates from SAP through WBS
codes in MS Project. My goal is to extract data directly from the database
for progress and time reporting into Project Server for reporting and data
analysis.

From what I know, Campana & Schott do that (I have absolutely no
relationship to this company, and there will propbably be many other
products doing it)

Bubba:

In addition to Jan's suggestion, you should also look at the SAP connectors
from The Project Group based in Germany with offices elsewhere as well. The
issue you will have is that it is extremely unlikely that you'll be able to
map the detail in SAP timesheets to the detail in Project Server as there is
typically more detail in the Project Plan than in SAP. In SAP you're more
likely to be charging time at a higher level, so the challenge is how to map
that to specific assignments in Project.
