save a file to a CD-RW and it says it is read-only

I am trying to save a file to a CD-RW disk on the D drive and I get an error
message that says the is a read-only folder and will not allow me to save.

Hi

Have you formatted the CDRW first?
I don't use them much but when I have just burnt files, windows seems to
treat it as a CDR unless it is formatted as rewritable. Well that's my take
on it anyway.

Can you move files to/from the cdrw in explorer?
