save and save as are grayed out in word 2003

My word 2003 was working just fine. Today my "save" and "save as" are now
grayed out. I can't open something, make changes & save with a new name, I
can only close & say yes to save but it will go to the same file I can't
rename. Please help!

It sounds like you have a trial version that expired. How long have you been
running this version of Word on this computer?
