save as box come up when I backspace

Every time I use Windows 2003, if I backspace, the save as box comes up and
won't stop coming up even after I save it.

Did you mean Word 2003? Have you got a programmable keyboard and you have
accidentally programmed backspace to Save? Have you checked the keyboard
shortcuts in Word to see if the Backspace has been reallocated to Save?
