Save as Files

Shan

Hi all, I already scratched my head.
I have received a PDF attachment in OL2003, opened it and made save as, it
asked me to save in the OLK folder(in my case olk32). I want to execute this
file now, ofcourse I can easily take from the Outlook and save to a different
location, but my question is that how to take my previously saved files from
the OLK folder?
I have been searching for the "Temporary Internet Folder" through my
computer "C:\document&settings\username\local settings, but here no folder
called "temporary internet files" after enabling the hidden folder view and
hide know extension file type, I found a Temp folder but that is something
different. I went to control panel internet explorer view files - it is funny
I found the temporary internet folder on the same path I mentioned above, but
again there is no olk folder inside the temporary internet files folder.

I scratched again - I went to start CMD I typed the folder name as per my
path(exactly mentioned above) - I found the temporary internet folder and
inside OLK folder and the earlier saved files from outlook plus there are
many other saved files.

Now how to copy these files to a different folder? why OL is saving the
attachment to this folder which I am unable to view in a normal way?

please help
I hope this is an outlook related question

You are using a very unusual way to save attachments; normally you open
the email message, the File | Save Attachments, where you can specify
the target folder (usually My Documents).

"How do I copy these files to a different folder?" - use Windows
Explorer and drag-and-drop them to a proper folder; you shouldn't save
anything in a temporary folder, as they can get deleted my many tools.

Dear,
Thank you for your time, I have already mentioned unable to see the files
through explorer (only possible through CMD). I think this is outlook's
default behaviour to save the files in the temp folder

any other idea for the question which I asked earlier?

Again thank you for your valuable time
