save as function in office 2007

everytime I open Office 2007 the save as box opens up and if I click save or
cancel it won,t go away. The only way I can get rid of it is to
control+alt+delete

please help it is driving me mad

That's a new bug to me. My guess is you have installed an incompatible
add-in. Try starting in Safe Mode to see if that stops the problem. From
Start, Run, type in

winword /a

and press enter. If this is OK, it suggests that there is an add-in - either
a template in the Word Start-up folder or a custom macro such as AutoOpen or
AutoExec. Most often these are usually the result of out-of-date Adobe or
Symantec add-ins.
