I am having a very frustrating time with PowerPoint at home, to open an
old document and save is not a problem, but when I use "save as" to
save in a different location (old or new document) the file hangs for
at least 3 minutes, it then says Not Responding and then comes back to
life. The same happens when I try to insert an image, it opens the
relevant window but when you click on the drop down arrow it just
hangs.
I have a new PC running Windows XP and Office 2003, I have Symantic
corporate edition anti virus software running, as well as Microsoft
Antispyware. I do have network drives but it happens if I am connected
or not. I regularly clear out my temp folder. This problem also
happened when I was using Office XP on my last PC. Any suggestions
would be appreciated. I have not had this problem in my office using
the same software.
