Save As in Word

When I try to use this selection ("Save As") on the File
drop down menu it no longer is avaiable to me (grayed
out). I am offered "Save" (which means I cannot use one
docunment as a template for another) or "Save as Web
Page".

This used to work properly but no longer does. I would
appreciate any help offered. Thank you.

Hi John,

Did you open a .DOT (template) file? If so it
cannot be saved as a different file type.
To create a new document from a template double
click the .DOT file or use File=>New and create
a new document from template.

If you didn't intend for this document to be a
Word template (Check 'type' in File=>Properties=>General)
then you may want to install or update antivirus
software on the PC to check for one of over 7,000
Word macro virus types.
