Save As menu instantly reloads (Word 2007)

Hi everyone,

Maybe there's a reasonable explanation but this has me stumped - basically,
when I go to save a document for the first time in Word 2007, after clicking
'save' the Save As menu instantly reloads with a number beside the file name
(example: a file saved initially as 'test' reappears as 'test1'). After
saving this file, when I go back to save later, the message 'Word cannot
complete the save due to a file permission error.'

Any thoughts? Thanks.
