"save as" no working from excel2003 to netware drive

hi.

im incharge for deploying office 2003 in my company.
recently i saw a serious problem in excel 2003.
the operation of saving excel sheets with the "save as"
command from excel to a netware mapped drive is taking
very long time and cousing the excel to hang with no
respones massage for a long time.
when you do copy paste of excel files to the netware
drive its working with no problems.
we had before excel 2002 and it never happened.
the problem is accuring in a lot of machines.
our machines are windowsXP SP1 with all the latest
patches.

please could someone help
