save as not responding

When I try to save a doc in word 2003. (i have installed all the updates)
I select save as . the save as window appears but I cannot save, the window
just
goes to not responding

If you aren't comfortable with editing the Windows registry
yourself, then go to

down to Item No. 383 "Hewlett-Packard's Share-to-Web software -
Fix". Download and run the script to automatically modify your
registry as described in KB918165. You may need to temporarily
disable your antivirus program in order to run the script.

It is anticipated that Microsoft will release a revised version
of the MS06-015 update on Tuesday, April 25.

I have the same problem in both WORD and EXCEL, could be a major issue?

thanks the fix worked great. I had a photosmart printer installed and the
kellys-korner fix was perfect. thanks for solving a headache

You should go back and get the new update and try it out.

A revised version of the MS06-015 update was released Tuesday that
supposedly interacts better with the older HP and nVidia software. You can
download the revised update from
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-015.mspx.

Caveat: the revised update didn't help me any more than the Registry edit
did.
