Save As PDF does not include equations

I'm using Word 2007. I've created a document with several equations.
If I save the document as a PDF document, the equations are lost. By
"lost", I mean that there is a space where the equation should be, but
it's either blank or just has some lines that look like the lines in
fractions in the equation.

I've tried it with the PDF converter that I downloaded from the
Microsoft website. At least I think that's where I got it. I think I
got after reading a post by someone on this NG.

I also have a copy of Acrobat Pro, which has its own PDF converter
add-in for word. I get the same result using that.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks a bunch

What do you see in Print Preview? If the equation is wrapped (not In Line
with Text), make sure that you have the Print Options set to print wrapped
objects (Office Button | Word Options | Display: Printing options: "Print
drawings created in Word."

In Print Preview, the equations display correctly.
If the equation is wrapped (not In Line with Text),

Each equation is on a line by itself, like in a math book.

However, I cannot find how to see if it's set to inline or wrapped. It
seems to me that I used to see a frame around the equation with a
properties arrow that I could click to change the options. I don't see
that frame.

That option is checked.

Thanks for the follow-up. I think I have seen this discussion in the Word
forums as well--just haven't been paying attention.

I don't want to mess around with uninstalling patches and there
reprots that that didn't always work anyway. But saving the document
as Word 97-2003 (.doc) document seems to work. That converts the
equations to images and at least the add-in PDF converter seems to
work. I have not tried the Acrobat Pro converter as it wreaks all
kinds of havox with teh Word settings.

FWIW, you can still use Microsoft Equation 3.0 (the old editor) in Word 2007
and 2010 if you install it.
