Save as Template and loss macros

I recieved to work a template with macros that I want to change, but nothing
in macros, but when I try no Save as the document, afresh, as Template the
template losses the macros. But if I save as the document as Word Document
the macros are not loss.

Ask: How can I save one template as a Template without lose macros?

When you create a document based on a template that contains macros, the
template remains "attached" to the document when it is on your computer so
you have access to the macros.

When you save your document as a template, you break that attachment because
a template cannot have an attached template. Since the macros are not in the
document, they are not in the new template, either.

You can put macros in documents or in the new template using the Organizer
or using the visual basic explorer. However, before you start doing that,
how about telling us what it is you are trying to accomplish? There may be a
better way.

Thanks Charles Kenyon
Yes there is a better way as you vary good have explained.
I have solved the problem like this:
I created a new document and I have mad the changes that I wanted and saved
it as a normal word document and after I have opened this normal word
document and I have saved it as a template.
I had yet solved the problem but I have to apologize you with your
explanation.
THANKS

Hi,

No need to apologize. What is it you are trying to do? Why do you want to
create a new template with these macros. Knowing that will go a long way
toward suggesting what you should be doing to achieve what you want.

I solved my problem without noticing the reason of it. You felt the
explanation. I thanked. Now you contest my solution! I don't flee to the
conversation because I like it: what I was trying to do was only to alter the
template and keep it with the same name and type and macros. Only that. Have
you any other suggestion of way to do that?

Open the template.
File > Open

Then use the Save As command under the file menu, before you make any
changes. This changes your template name and/or location. Make your changes
and save.
