In PowerPoint 2007, I'm trying to save as a web page *.htm to use on a Web
site, but the many supporting files are not being saved in a separate
directory. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Did you accidentally save it as a *.mht instead?

No. I saved it as *.htm. As a workaround, I created a folder and saved all
files inside that folder to at least keep them separate.

Do you mean that the files are saved but they are not in a seperate folder?
If so check web options tab after you click publish. Files > organise files
in folder

You're a gem!!! Thanks. Guess the default setting is to not create a separate
supporting folder--weird!! Why would anyone want all those files intermixed?
Anyhow, thanks again. This was a real stumbling block. Can you explain the
difference between doing a Save As to *.htm and using the Publish button?

Glad to help. As far as I know the default is to organise in a folder so I
guess it somehow got changed.
