Save as Web Page

Hi,

I'm still using PPT Version X for Mac. I'm saving a presentation as a
web page and I don't like the way it handles "other" browsers like
Safari-- it converts each slide to a GIF with lousy dithering on the
photos.

Does the latest version do a better job? (It's really their javascript
that doesn't recognize Safari, thereby forcing it to display the
inferior version.)

Thanks.

Hi,

The Save As web page feature throughout office needs to be overhauled.
Microsoft knows. Unfortunately it was a choice between updating that
feature or implementing a new feature. Microsoft chose to implement a
new feature.

With the upcoming version of office having a new default file format of
XML I am guessing that the save as web page feature would have to be
re-written. I hope the next version of office will offer vastly improved
saving as web page functionality.

Update: I saved a presentation as a web page from PPT 2007 and found
no improvement over previous versions. I hope the Mac team does better.
