Save as

MS office 2000 premium, using Windows XP home.
When opening a document from 'file-open then 'save as' it
works OK.
If you open a document direct then 'save as' word starts
flashing orange on the 'task bar'and nothing else
happens, if you click word on the 'task bar' it then
opens and you can 'save as' normally.
