When trying to save a document on another computer through a network
connection using "save as" I receive an error message: the folder isn't
accessible. The folder may be located on an unavailabe volume or protected
with a password. I can open, modify and save the document under the original
name, just can't save as another name. It worked for years, now all of a
sudden it won't work anymore.

If you installed Windows update KB885250 "MS05-011: Vulnerability in
server message block could allow remote code execution", try
uninstalling KB885250 in Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.

If it is the KB885250, I believe that bug has been fixed by the latest
updates to WinXP.

I have the same issue. Additionally I have discovered that I can makes
changes to a word document on the networked PC , and do a save just fine. But
I get the same error message (as Sonia) if I try to save using save-as. I
have a new PC and all available updates from MS have been applied. Any ideas?
