save .doc files into jpeg or compatible

I inserted a picture to edit when I open microsoft word 2003 (I use xps home)
and I added some arrows using the tools available. I need to save this file
with extension .jpeg or similar but I don't get that option. Please anybody
knows if this can be done.
I tried to use microsoft word 2007 with vista on my notebook but I am not
able to get there either.
