Save Email to Portable Hard Drive

I want to save my emails to a portable hard drive, preferably automatically
as they are received. is there anyway to do this? i already went and
created a .pst data file but i don't know how to set outlook up to
automatically send a copy of my emails there. thanks for your help.

What exactly are you trying to achieve by doing this?
Version of Outlook?
Type of mail account?

I use a program called "EverNote" to save all sorts of information, including
emails. When EverNote saves them, it also saves a link to the original email.
This is needed when the email has an attached PDF. The problem is that my
company severly limits my ability to save emails so what I want to do is to
save them in a way that will allow EverNote to have ongoing access to them.

I just bought a Western Digital 500 gb drive so I should have more than
enough space for emails.

One other potential issue is this: when i save an email to EverNote, I think
it must remember where the email came from originally so I need to somehow
have EverNote look to the other drive for the saved email.

I thought that perhaps one solution would be to have ALL my emails copied to
the Western Digital drive.

i forgot to answer your other questions. My Outlook is 2007 and the email is
through my corporation's enterprise server.

I don't know how EverNote works exactly but can't you just capture the
pdf-file as well?
You should be careful with having an active connection to a pst-file on
removable media. Disconnecting the device without having Outlook properly
closed could result in data corruption and even data loss.
Anyway, in your account configuration you can change the delivery folder
from Exchange to a pst-file. Note that you are then yourself responsible for
backups. As your mail will be removed from the Exchange server, your mail
admin cannot take care of it anymore.
