Save Every Senctence or Loose Document (Error OE: 014F)

If I am typing a long document, I have to save, save, save about every
sentence or else I lose everything. This window pops open telling me that
something has finished scanning for errors and on the blue bar at the top it
does a countdown. When the countdown is finished another smaller window
opens and it says an error has occurred and I only have the option to close.
As I watch, it closes itself and the screen goes blue and shows:

Error OE: 014F: 00005ED7

Then my only option is CTRL ALT DEL to reboot the computer and I have lost
all work not saved. This happens again and again. What is going on?

It sounds like something external to Word such as an AV scanner or speech
recognition utility; but eliminate the possibility of the spelling and
grammar checker first. Go to Tools, Options and deselect both Spelling and
Grammar whilst you type options and test again.
