I gather in previous veriosn of Access you could convert / save macros as
equivalent VBA code. Can this be done in 2007 and if so how.

Hi Brian,

If it is a stand-along macro, select it in the Navigation bar. Then in
the Database Tools ribbon, Macro section choose "Convert Macros to Visual
Basic". If you want to convert a form's or report's macros, open it in
design view. Again, in the Database Tools ribbone, Macro section, choose
"Convert Form's [or Report's] Macros to Visual Basic".

These are some "embedded" navigation & record macros (next/prev,
undo/save/new) created by the button wizard. I can get them in design view
but the Tools ribbon is not available (only "Home" (nothing much there) and
Macro Tools>"Design". The macros are associated with buttons on the form
(Click events). The "SAVE" button in "Design" has a "save as" but that only
allows a save as "Macro" option in its dropdown. Is there some other
way/place to get at these embedded macros. I want/need to add some
functionality to them and know VBA but little about developing Macros.
thanks

Hi Brian,

Don't open up any of the embedded macros. When you are viewing the
form in design view, such as when you have just opened it, and not done
anything else, then you can get to the Database Tools ribbon and can convert
all of the embedded macros to VBA, all at once.

thanks again..

Hi Brian,

Stumble around just like the "experts" maybe? :)

You are welcome,
