Save message as msg file

When saving a message, standard setting is only to save
as a text fil. If I want to save it as a message I have
to choose that in the dialog box.
Can I change the standard setting so it says msg file and
not allways suggest that I save it as a text file.
That way I don't have to change the file format everytime
I want to save a message.
The problem is that saving as a text file it does not
save the attachments.
Can anyone help me.
