Save or Publish

Hi,
I am confused of the above-mentioned subject.

Does it mean it when I save my project, it
will 'appeared' in the project server ? Then why do I
need to publish them.

When is the case that will I need to publish projects. As
mentioned, can I omit publishing but just saving ??

Please clear my doubts.

I am also a beginner of Project so from my experience I can tell you this.
Publish is to publish the various tasks for individuals to their PWA task
box. In the options there are various settings that publish when saving and
vice versa. When my projects have tasks in that are unallocated I only
save. When I allocate I publish and save.
