Hello and thank you!
I am experiencing the following bizarre behavior in Outlook (I am using
IE6 and XP Profesional)
If I receive an email that has an image in the body...and I want to save
the image on my harddrive.....I right click on the image and select
"Save Picture As".
Here's the problem: in many cases, when saving, the "Save As" dialog
wants to save the image as a bitmap (BMP) and will not allow me to save
it as anything else - though I KNOW the image is either a GIF or a JPG.
I ran test after test having a friend send me both GIF and JPG's and in
each case....the Save As would only save it as a BMP (my friend was
using Outlook as well...and sent the images using Insert-->Image--> From
File).
Then, as another test, I went back to some old emails and it worked
.....I was able to save an image as the file type that it truely was.
I searched Outlook help for Save Picture As, Save As, Bitmap, etc...to
no avail.
Any thoughts?
