Save position in Word? (2003)

Is there an option to save your location in word 2003 when you close the
document?

I'm working my way through a long list (of my CD's) and each time I open
the document it's getting a little further to go to find where I was.

I know about bookmarks, but I was hoping for something that would
automatically take me back to where I was last, without any extra effort
on my part.

In Word, open the document, and press Ctrl+End to go to the end of the
document, or press Shift+F5 to go to the last place that was edited.
