save preferences in envelopes and labels

How do I save any changes I make to any of the options in "Envolopes and
Labels"? I can change it when using it but closing and then reopening
reverts back to default. Al I want to do is change font and Envelope
prininting options.

You can change the font permanently by modifying the Envelope Address and/or
Envelope Return style. The Printing Options are notoriously ephemeral; it's
often a better solution to create an envelope template.
