Save Projectplan locally - Size

Hello!

When I save a projectplan from project server locally, the size of the plan
is approx. 7 MB. Why is the size so large? The plan has approx. 500 tasks
with 30 users. Other plans with the same numbers of tasks and resources are
only 600 kb. Is there a seeting to decrease the workplan size?

Joerg, this seems very large, I agree. You may want to check if you have any
additional data in the Plan or even have task comments that have some kind of
document object incorporated.
You may also want to check how much "actual work" you have from your
resources. The tasks and users you mentioned are certainly not huge, but if
the project has been running for a year or longer, you may have lots of
actual data in the project plan

Joerg,

In addition to what Marc has mentionned you might want to check if the
project has a large number of calendars. In Project Professional go to
Tools - Change working time and have a look at the drop down list.
