Save Stencils With Drawing

J

John Kier

In the past I have been able to save the desired stencils
with a Visio 2002 drawing. When I open the drawing the
stencils appear.

Lately the stencils saved with the drawing do not appear.
I have to open them each time I open the drawing.

I have 55 stencils with names that begin with the same 4
characters, but end with unique character combinations.
Everything worked OK when there were up to 50 stencils.
Once I exceeded that number the stencils don't appear to
save with the drawing.

Is this a limitation in Visio 2002?

Thanks, Lori.

You had the answer I needed.

Save Workspace was the name of the feature that allowed you to save all
your open drawing and stencil windows with a file. I suspect that this has
been "turned off".

For any particular file, File>Save As. Look for the \/ symbol on the Save
Button. Click it. Is Workspace checked? If not, there's your problem
