Mani:

You can't save a Project report to Excel. You can,
however, print the report to PDF, and store the adobe doc
on your PC.

If you absolutely need the data in Excel, you can save a
project file as an Excel document and map the fields you
want or you can (if you're using 2003) analyze time-
phased data in Excel from the Analysis toolbar.

Hope this helps!

HI Mani,
Have you tried th export timescaled data to excel using
the Analysis toolbar? View either the Task or Resource
Usage view and then try it.
Hope this helps.

Joan,
The simple answer is "yes" but the process to get there isn't
necessarily simple. In my opinion the easiest way to get what you want
is to write a custom VBA macro that exports all the data you need in
exactly the format you want. If you have some VBA experience but need
some help or if you have no experience, we can get you started. If you
want to give VBA a try post again or write me direct.

A second method is to try modifying the code for the "analyze timescaled
data in Excel" add-in to include the additional data. However the code
is very complex (in my opinion) and this approach is much more
challenging than writing your own macro.

Another method that doesn't require any VBA experience but will require
a lot of work and data manipulation, is to export the data using the
add-in from the Resource Usage view and from the Task Usage or Gantt
Chart view (both give the same result). Then manipulate the data in the
two resulting Excel Worksheets to get what you need.

Hope this helps.
John
