save Word document as image

i have followed previous instructions and saved Word doc with image to
webpage. I then open up folder with image. the image is there. It has an
Irfanview icon beside it. When I double click to open the image it opens in
code. Do I need a file converter? I want to have the image in a picture
format that i can upload to my photo site.

I gave up and now use a shareware product called DOC to Image Convertor from
www.pdf-convert.com which converts Word pages to jpegs. I think it cost me
about $25 but there are plenty of others if you search on google
