Saved access db is giving me permissions error

You do not have the necessary permissions to to use XXXXXX..mdb object. Have
your system administrator or the person who creeated the this object
establish the appropriate permissions for you. I am the creator and system
administrator for this file/system. Have full control over the file.

The database has been secured using Access's user level security. You need
to find the workgroup file it was secured with and open the mdb while using
that mdw. Create a shortcut with a target of

"path to msaccess.exe" "path to mdb" /wrkgrp "path to mdw"

Agreed with Joan -- and the default is \system32\system.mdw if not pointed to
a specific .mdw
