SAVED AS DRAFTS

Is it possible that the Save as Drafts folder will delete (lose) its content when the computer shuts down due to run batteries and has to be re-started? My heart sank when I lost 4 hours of work that I did not want to send without reviewing first so I saved as drafts in entourage. When I re-started my computer the entire set of messages had been wiped out. Is this a glitch due to just upgrading to Leopard? I do not remember this ever happening before.

This is not expected behavior when saving to the Drafts folder. Have you
searched all of Entourage to see if possibly your messages were misfiled?

Even without saving a message, if you crash usually Entourage will open with
the last message saved as a draft.

I suspect something else is going on with your problem. Perhaps the low
battery caused the Finder to develop a case of Alzheimers. Have you upgraded
to 10.5.2? Do you have Time Machine backing up your Entourage Identity?

Sometimes you can find missing files in lost+found.

Finding "lost" files:

At the root level of the hard drive, there is a hidden folder called
"lost+found"

Activate the finder, then under the 'go' menu, select 'go to folder'. In
that dialog, enter "/lost+found" (without the quotes). If there is a
lost+found folder it will open, if not, you will get a 'folder not found'
error. This folder only exists if there are lost files.

Another option is to download EasyFind (freeware) to find invisible files
(Spotlight won't find invisible system files). Turn on the "Invisible Files
& Folders" option when you search for an item named "lost+found".
