saved document date change

help!! can someone tell me how to open a saved document
and view it without the created date (date of original
letter) being changed to the current date. i would like
to keep the auto date for new documents but view and print
old documents as originally dated. i have tried everything
i know but i am a beginner. tks

Those features are often set in the Document Properties
dialog, or by inserted fields.

Try clicking...


File | Properties | Summary: and modifying the contents
there.

If you don't see the created date there

Try...

File | Properties | Custom: look for the created field.
