saving 2003 as 98

I have a client who has Project 2003. Previously she has been able to save
the file as a Project 98 file - some users are still on Project 98. Now when
she tries to save the file as 98 she gets a referenced memory error. She is
able to save the file successfully as Project 2003.

maryj,
My guess is that the file may have some minor corruption. Go to our MVP
website at: http://www.mvps.org/project/faqs.htm
and look at FAQ 43 - File Bloat? Might be corruption.

Meanwhile, let me offer a suggestion. Project 98 is not generally
compatible with Project 2000 and later. Switching files between the two
formats will likely result in further corruption. I suggest those users
who are still using Project upgrade to at least Project 2000 or later.
Although Project 2000 is no longer available from Microsoft, it can be
found reasonably priced on one of the on-line auctions such as eBay. If
you go with that minimum upgrade, just make sure whatever you buy
includes the SR-1 update.

Hope this helps.
