saving a document from a template

I have created templates in the past. In a new template, every time I save
the completed document, it asks me if I want to save the changes in the
template. I say no, then save he document and it asks me again the same
question. How do I get rid of this. I don't recall this problem previously

What kind of content is in your template? Does it contain only boilerplate
text? Does it contain macros? A User Form? Also, what version of Word are
you using?
